Orientation

Dr. Land is a licensed psychologist in the State of Washington. His practice is oriented toward individuals and couples who are committed to change; to the exploration of ideas and behaviors which lead to richer, fuller lives. He views the decision to begin work with a psychologist is an important step in changing circumstances that are no longer comfortable and require supportive, focused attention. As a cognitive-behavioral psychologist, his work is active and collaborative in nature, focused on gathering insight from a client's history, current behavior patterns, thoughts regarding the presenting concerns, and his or her intuitive sense of what is necessary to accomplish personal therapy goals.

Background

Dr. Land's formal training includes a doctorate in counseling psychology from the Florida Institute of Technology, a master of arts degree from Vanderbilt University and a bachelor of arts degree from Texas A&M University. His internship and residency hours were completed in South Florida, where he was first licensed as a psychologist, at the Center for Family Therapy in Boca Raton, the Center for Group Counseling in Boca Raton, and Jack Singer and Associates in Plantation. He has been licensed as a psychologist in Washington since 1989.
